Amir is now eighteen years old and he hasn't changed a bit since Hassan left. When Baba stood up for a woman and risked his life doing so Amir thought, "It's done, then, I'm eighteen and alone. I have no one left in the world. Baba's dead and now I have to bury him. Where do I bury him? Where do I go after that?" (116). This quote shows that he's still really selfish. In it all he talks about is how he doesn't want to bury Baba. He didn't even mention the fact that he'd be sad about it. It also shows that he just wants to make sure he's (Amir) alright. As long as he's not alone, everything is fine. I think this is really frustrating and I still can't believe a person can get to be like this.

"'Agha sahib,' Karim said, 'these Roussi [Russians] are not like us. They understand nothing about respect, honor'"(115). This shows that cultures don't always get along. I think this is absolutely rediculous because you can't judge millions of people off of one or two that are of the same culture.
